Vintage and Vineyards
Dellatorri Chianti Riserva grapes are sourced from the famous Chianti region of Tuscany, located in the heart of Italy, bordering the Mediterranean Sea.Producers throughout the Italian peninsula faced a difficult harvest in 2005. Wet, autumnal weather settled over vast Chianti regions from August onward. Despite a uncharacteristic harvest, our experienced winemakers were able to obtain the best grapes from the region, presenting a wine well worthy of recognition.

Wine and Winemaking
Harvested from pre-selected vineyard sites of Chianti, these grapes are picked at altitudes selected for optimum freshness. After a gentle crush and de-stemming process the grapes age in French and American Oak barrels before bottling.

This Chianti Riserva, made of 100% Sangiovese, offers intense color with a brick red hue. Sweet spices and cherry aromatics combine with elegant floral notes. The palate is rich with juicy blackberry and currants. Well balanced with good use of French and American Oak.
